Priscilla Clark, MA-licensed Riding Instructor

Priscilla started riding at age 44 and quickly gravitated towards the discipline of eventing which she pursued for the next 10 years up to the prelim level. She competed successfully all over New England and regularly attended clinics with Michael Plumb, Bruce Davidson, Denny Emerson and other Olympic-level event riders. At her second year at Training Level she was selected as one of four riders to represent the Area 1 team at the nationals in Gladstone, NJ.

During her riding career she owned and trained a total of six competition horses. She began her career hunting with Old North Bridge Hounds in Concord, MA where she earned her colors and rode with the Norfolk Hunt until she retired after 15 years of riding.

Priscilla has over eight years of teaching and coaching experience as a licensed instructor and particularly enjoys working with adults. “I started riding midlife,” she says “and know full well what the challenges are – physically, emotionally and mentally.” But she stresses that adults have a great deal to work with. "We have already developed an incredible assortment of life skills that we bring to the table and it is such a delight to work with students and discover, together, how to apply them to this sport. It is never, ever too late to start riding!”
