Adaptive & Recreational Riding

Inclusive programs supporting our mission of bringing people together

We offer both an Adaptive (formerly called Therapeutic) and Recreational Equestrian program.

Each 45-minute individual or small group lesson offers opportunities for participants to gain experience in both mounted and unmounted activities. Participants develop riding skills such as balance and coordination and important aspects of horse care, including grooming, feeding, and stable management. Lessons are tailored to each participant’s individual needs and goals, ensuring a personalized experience that supports growth at their own pace.

These experiences not only promote physical, cognitive, and emotional growth but also help participants build meaningful relationships with the horses, fostering trust and empathy. Participants work in a safe, supportive environment that encourages confidence and skill development, both in and out of the saddle.

Adaptive riding lessons are taught by a PATH certified instructor.

An initial consultation and evaluation is required of all potential participants. To support the health and well-being of our equine partners, we do have balanced rider weight limits depending on our herd’s abilities.
