Pesto is a 2000 medium pony gelding who joined the BINA family in the fall of 2024.  Owned by Allegra Valberg of Ridgetop Farm, Pesto came to BINA with previous experience in the hunter/jumpers, and we are fortunate to have him as part of our equine team.  Today, Pesto participates in a variety of BINA’s programs, from Occupational and Physical Therapy Utilizing Equine Movement to Adaptive Riding, where he supports participants as they develop their skills and confidence at the walk and trot.  Pesto especially loves working with children and is a favorite in our vacation programs.  His connection with his participants is easy to see—he misses them during break weeks and perks right back up as soon as they return to the barn.  And while Pesto certainly appreciates a post-lesson reward, his treats must always be sugar-free due to his dietary needs.
