Molly Weiner
Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
Molly has always had a love of horses and rode for a time in her early teens. It wasn’t until the world was struck by a global pandemic that her desire to be around horses was reignited and her path led her to become a volunteer at BINA Farm Center.
Molly attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst, receiving her Bachelor’s in Sociology with a concentration in Criminal Justice. In the proceeding years, she went on to complete a master’s degree in Behavior Analysis and another in Mental Health Counseling. Molly has enjoyed working with children for over 20 years. She has brought her passion and creativity to numerous roles ranging from camp counselor and 1:1 aide to program coordinator, teacher, and mental health therapist.
Molly joined BINA as one of our incredible program volunteers, learning the ropes in the barn and in the ring. She has volunteered in our Horsemanship classes, Equine-Assisted Learning sessions, and even joined us as an Instructor Assistant during our Summer BINA Buddies programs. Molly has since taken on a key clinical role at BINA, providing Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) for individuals, school groups, and community organizations. She believes deeply in the power of the human–horse relationship, and that the simplest interactions—such as observing, grooming, leading, or simply being present alongside a horse—can offer profound therapeutic benefits. Through this work, Molly provides an alternative, experiential approach to psychotherapy - one that allows each person’s unique needs to be met in a supportive, empowering, and horse-centered environment.
