Erin O’Brien, Occupation Therapist

Erin developed a passion for horses at the age of five when she began taking riding lessons. When she was 12 years old, she rescued and rehabilitated her first horse. They trained together and competed in various riding events for over a decade until his well-deserved retirement. While volunteering with a Therapeutic Riding Program in her hometown, Erin witnessed firsthand the profound impact that equine-assisted services can have on individuals with diverse needs.

Erin earned her Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Sciences from the University of Connecticut and subsequently obtained her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. In addition to her role at BINA Farm Center, she serves as an inpatient Occupational Therapist at New England Baptist Hospital.

Erin is excited to integrate her clinical expertise with her equestrian background to support clients in achieving greater independence, participation, and an enhanced quality of life through hippotherapy.
