Ashlee Carter, Ph.D., Associate Dean of Students at the University of Massachusetts Boston

Ashlee Carter, Ph.D. is the Associate Dean of Students at the University of Massachusetts Boston, where she oversees care case management, student conduct, and new student and family programs. As a senior leader in the Division of Student Affairs, she provides strategic direction and guides policy development across student support services.

Her career spans student wellness, case management, Title IX compliance, and prevention initiatives in sexual violence, alcohol and other drugs, and health promotion. She leads UMass Boston’s care case management team in developing intervention protocols, training faculty and staff to support students in distress, and advancing the university’s mission as a health-promoting campus.

Dr. Carter holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership, Management, and Policy from Seton Hall University, an M.S. in Higher Education Administration from Drexel University, and a B.A. in Public Relations from the University of Hartford. Her dissertation, Reducing Sexual Victimization on College Campuses: The Impact of a College-Level Sex Education Course, has been presented nationally and internationally, including at the National Sexual Health Conference and the World Association for Sexual Health Congress.
