Adaptive & Recreational Riding
Inclusive programs supporting our mission of bringing people together
We offer both an Adaptive (formerly called Therapeutic) and Recreational Equestrian program. These programs provide participants with both riding and horsemanship experiences in a fully integrated format. Designed for individuals of all abilities, this program combines equine-assisted activities that focus on both riding skills and horse care with personal goals and outcomes.
-
Each 45-minute lesson offers opportunities for participants to gain experience in both mounted and unmounted activities. Participants develop riding skills such as balance and coordination and important aspects of horse care, including grooming, feeding, and stable management. Lessons are tailored to each participant’s individual needs and goals, ensuring a personalized experience that supports growth at their own pace.
These experiences not only promote physical, cognitive, and emotional growth but also help participants build meaningful relationships with the horses, fostering trust and empathy. Participants work in a safe, supportive environment that encourages confidence and skill development, both in and out of the saddle.
-
This program is for those who want to be part of our inclusive community and priority for these lessons slots are given to those individuals. Click here for some examples of how we hope our riders might want to get involved after a month or two of riding at BINA.

We offer private and small group lessons. Our team will determine which is the best option when we have a consultation and evaluation of every participant.
-
An initial consultation and evaluation is required of all potential participants. To support the health and well-being of our equine partners, we do have balanced rider weight limits pending on our herd’s abilities.
