Ashley Reed
Program & Volunteer Coordinator

Ashley Reed brings a unique blend of compassion, experience, and energy to her role as Program & Volunteer Coordinator at BINA Farm Center. Before joining the BINA team, Ashley spent eight years as a teacher in Massachusetts, focusing on special education and inclusive programming. She began her career in an elementary setting and went on to work in middle school, and high school —most recently in a severe special needs post-graduate classroom. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Fitchburg State University, where she concentrated her studies on neuropsychology and human growth and development.

A lifelong animal lover, Ashley’s heart for rescue has led her to foster over 100 dogs from the south over the past seven years. She lives with her husband, four beloved dogs, and a hospice foster, and continues to advocate for animals in any way she can.

Ashley’s journey with horses began as a teenager, when she started helping an elderly couple with barn chores in exchange for riding lessons—and she’s been hooked ever since. Horses have been a deeply therapeutic presence in her life, and she is passionate about sharing that experience with others.

Currently, she is in the apprenticeship phase of her Massachusetts Recreational Riding Instructor license and is working closely with a mentor to complete her CTRI (Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor) certification. Ashley is proud to be part of the BINA community and is committed to supporting inclusive, empowering experiences for all participants through thoughtful programming and volunteer engagement.
