Overview

Our therapeutic programs do not focus on our clients’ limitations but rather on what they can achieve. All services are open to any person with a disability who can benefit from these special forms of therapy. These therapies do not replace other forms of treatment, but augment them and assist our clients in reaching their full potential. Our instructors and therapists will work closely with clients’ physicians to create the best treatment plan.

The BiNA Farm programming has four components. First, Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies includes Therapeutic Horseback Riding, Hippotherapy, *Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy, Interactive Vaulting and *Carriage Driving. Our second component is the Life Skills Program which includes Horsemanship, Sustainable Living and our Inclusive Circle Programs, our third is Creative and Complementary Therapy Programs which include Dance, Music and Art therapies, Rock Climbing,* Swimming,* Chiropractic, *Acupuncture and *Massage. Fourth, we offer Recreational Riding for able bodied siblings, family members and friends of the BiNA Farm.

Terry Snow, Program Director and Monica Wu, Equine Assisted Therapy Director are NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) certified and will continue to enhance their knowledge base by attending NARHA seminars. At The BiNA Farm they have assembled a team of instructors and therapists that can begin Early Intervention and continue working with our clients through the Life Skills Program. The BiNA Farm is a NARHA member and all TBF instructors are NARHA and Massachusetts certified. The center will request accreditation by NARHA as soon as we have our primary location.

In order to help support our purpose, income generated from our recreational horseback riding lessons and other selected programs for non-special needs clients helps provide funding for those with special needs who must have a scholarship or tuition assistance in order to participate in our programs. Bringing together these communities within TBF fosters tolerance and creates a strong alumni group that will champion the organization over time.

*These programs will be offered at our primary facility when built.
